You may ask yourself what is the difference between a daily newspaper and a weekly newspaper. Well, the main difference is quite obvious. A daily newspaper is published every day. While a weekly newspaper is published once a week; usually at the end of the week. However, there are some other differences in daily newspapers and weekly newspaper.

Daily newspapers are mainly for "breaking news". They tell you the story as soon as it happens and each day you get updates. According to ehow Contributor, Casey Hynes, "daily newspapers usually consist of a news section, with either straight news reports or analysis, opinion pages, a sports section and an arts and entertainment guide."  When you look at a daily newspaper, you mainly get current news, opinions, a section about sports, and entertainment things, like art.

Weekly news papers have time to plan out and assign stories. Each report is given a certain reporter to research and keep up-to-date with. They then take that story, and make their report about it. With weekly newspapers, you get the expanded story. According to ehow Contributor, Casey Hynes, "features in weekly newspapers often include profiles of public figures who are involved with a hot-button issue, or a piece offering a long-view look at what's coming up in the arts scene."  Weekly newspapers break the issue down and give you in-depth detail about the problem. Both types of newspapers are good and offer different things, it just depends on what you're looking for.
